Our technologies are all software based, so costly special hardware isn't needed to push pricing into your scales.

Our GWARE line of software isn't batched based like others, but date driven so thinking is as easy as a calendar. Here at GENESIS we listen to our clients, because you have some of the best ideas.
Many times, features incorporated in the latest versions come from ideas our clients request. So when others say they listen to the customer, here at GENESIS we really do!
We aren't the largest developer, but like Microsoft, we to started with ideas, and talents. We continue to grow, doubling
every year, and in 2008 will pass the 1000 store level. Currently we support over 3000+ Scales from manufacturers like:
Bizerba, Hobart, Mettler Toledo, Toshiba (TEC), Ishida, DIGI and other Tier one scale companies. We are the only perishable developer that
is both Microsoft Certified in the Partners program, but also a VAR for the popular RMS line of POS.
We believe that software and hardware shouldn't be difficult, or priced out of the reach of smaller Grocery owners. We have locations as large
as 100+ stores, and as little as 1, but stay true to the ideals that we will craft the most cost effective software in our segment period!

Gregory Nelson, Co-Founder Greg is
the brain trust here at Genesis. His development skills go back in computer
time to the late 70’s where he worked evenings crafting code for companies
that didn’t have any idea what computers really could do. During the early PC
(personal computer) days, before even DELL, Gateway he worked on coding his
home brew computer, and hung out with the early NERDS of the time (STEVE’S,
BILL’S, PAUL'S). During these early years software grew slowly due to
systems being slow, and expensive. When Windows started as an idea Greg
leaped onboard for what can only be called a rollercoaster in tech. He has
worked for Microsoft, Apple, GE, PPG, Tandon Computer and others, and on
projects for Motorola, Lucent/Bell, WW Grainger and a list that looks like a
who’s who. Greg also is the developer
of STEP Series Software, GENTools, and a host of other database centric
applications which are used by 100’s of companies here in the |

Terry Selkirk, Co-Founder Terry is
the head of our sales efforts at GENESIS. He also, as any good salesperson
brings the ideas to our development group, helping us move into new markets.
Terry comes from a perishable, and grocery background, and understands it
very well. He’s been in our market segments trench’s, and comprehends what is
missing better then anyone in our industry. Having owned a grocery store, and
worked at many of the top retailers Terry’s broad based knowledge is in
valuable to our success. His POS knowledge has helped secured relationships
within the industry, which has taken us to be more closely linked to these
partners. Terry can program (ok sort of) which helps him understand the
progression of crafting world class software. In his free time Terry is a
Woodsman, crafting beautiful products from mother earth’s trees. Terry also like Greg is devoted to his family,

Genesis “Scales” the Heights with BlueStar Genesis (Dearborn, MI) recently signed distribution agreements with BlueStar and Hobart Corporation for its complete line of Pathway/GWARE Advanced scale communication and POS tools. GWARE Advanced is a custom application suite that passes critical pricing to TCP/IP-based scales, along with integration to most POS systems with simple one-click operations. Targeted at small and mid-sized grocery and perishables marketers, it was previously branded as Pathway PSC2000. At BlueStar, Genesis participates in the Fusion program. Hobart Corporation is one of the world’s leading scale manufacturers. According to Greg Nelson, VP/CTO at Genesis, the software developer has several more vendor integrations in the works in the areas of receipt printing and handheld data terminals.
